Hi, I am Dr. Candice, a daughter of God, mom of a teenager, and joy igniter with a vivid imagination. I remember waking up in the morning with what seemed like a million thoughts running through my head: Did I send that email? Is Kyla awake? Why didn’t my friend respond to my text? Does my boss like me? I tried to suppress all of those thoughts, so I could start my day. But the flood of thoughts just kept swirling around in my head causing me to overthink and get stuck . . . I finally realized that my mind was a battlefield and the way I was going to win the war in my mind was with the word of God. I prayed and began to dig into my Bible. I started to meditate on God’s truth. I wrote scriptures on index cards and even took them with me to work. I printed out declarations and taped them on my bathroom mirror. I started to memorize scripture again, just like in Sunday School. The negative thoughts began to flee as I replaced them with God’s word. I continue sharing the message of Queen, Arise. I believe that our TRUE identity can only be found in God. Our Heavenly Father is super creative and He created us in His image and likeness. In order for us to DO what He is calling us to do, we must grab ahold of the revelation of who we are. Do you know who you are? 1 Peter 2:9 declares, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." Queen, (and King ;)), you are ROYALTY. So act like it. (This is for me, too!) There is no time for settling for less than God's best for you. Take some time out to fellowship with your creator and allow His words of life to wash over you. Come into agreement with what His love letter says about you. Write down the scriptures and say them out loud over yourself. You are NOT the negative words they spoke about you. You are NOT the negative words you have said about yourself. We rebuke every word curse that has been spoken over you in the name of Jesus. Queen, YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD. Amen.

Thank you again for tuning into this week's podcast episode. This is a recently recorded Facebook Live where I share an update on the release of my first book and journal, Queen Arise: Taking your rightful place as God's Royalty! (Available on Amazon!). I also share about taking the faith step to start this podcast.
I believe that we all have a GET UP story and testimony and in this season that God is calling for His bride to ARISE. Arise from fear. Arise from hurt. Arise from disappointment and shame. Arise from shrinking back. Arise, and take on your assignment. I share a bit about the things that I have GOT up from. It was by God's grace and mercy keeping me and calling me HIGHER.

Her husband, John Simmons passed on Sunday morning, February 19, 2023, as John, Gigi, and their three beautiful girls were preparing for church. In today's episode, Gigi shares the intricate details of the day before, the day of, and the days after John's passing and how she has experienced her Heavenly Father's hand in it all. Gigi is a storyteller and is intentional about letting her world in on the details of her life.
